Kaila Symone Crowder is a theatrical artist. Through her artistry, she utilizes her skills of singing, dancing, acting, and songwriting, to develop a one and a lifetime experience that is captured by the world's eye. Her passion for the arts didn’t arrive immediately from birth, in fact it developed during the summer of 2014 when she discovered her gift for the arts. From that moment, her presence has graced on stage and on television. Once Ms.Crowder entered Monroe High School, she became heavily involved in the drama club, student government association, cheerleading, and majorette teams (captain). Crowder then grew stronger in her leadership skills, which allowed her to direct a play (12 reasons to get detention), once given the position as a teacher’s assistant for a theater course, during her junior year. Additionally, her deep involvement in the drama club allowed her to become the vice president. To continue her craft, she became a student at Alabama State University as a theater major, where she performed the lead role of Dorine in (Tartuffe). After 1 year out of state, Crowder decided to transport back into the state of North Carolina at the illustrations, North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. Crowder’s involvement in performing arts has created opportunities to experience professional theater at an early age. For instance, she has participated in such performances, such as; The Wiz, In the Heights,Oedipus the Queen, & One girl story. As of this year, Crowder has to grace the stage as (Little Inez) in the Hairspray Broadway National Tour. The show travels throughout America; including Canada. Which allowed her to share her gifts on the Blumenthal Performing Arts stage in Charlotte, North Carolina. Not only was it a blessing to perform on stage in front of thousands, but to be able to perform in front of close friends and relatives was truly a dream come true. Performing is Crowder’s "woosah" moment from life. She strives to be great within each aspect of her craft, but not perfect. I just love sharing the gift that God gave me!
